STANDARD OPERATING PROTOCOLS (S.O.P.)

SECTION: ABRASIVE TICKET HANDLING
01

LOCATE THE V.I.N. (ODDS)

Every ticket has “Overall Odds” printed on the back (usually in fine print). Enter this number into the Friction Calculator above. This reveals the “Statistical Break-Even Point”—the amount of cash required to virtually guarantee a win.

02

CHECK FOR “GHOST TICKETS”

WARNING: Retailers will keep selling tickets even after the Grand Prize has been claimed. This is a “Ghost Ticket.” Never buy a roll without checking the Live Inventory Feed to ensure the engine still has pistons.

03

EXECUTE THE “BATCH BUY”

Buying 1 random ticket is pure gambling. The Mechanic’s Rule is to buy a Sequential Batch (3 to 5 tickets in a row from the same roll). This drastically reduces variance and increases the probability of hitting a “Pay Line.”

NOTE FROM THE FOREMAN: Stop treating scratch-offs like a slot machine. Treat them like a math problem. If the math doesn’t check out, keep your wrench in your pocket.

⚠️ THE 3-POINT INSPECTION

SCRATCH TICKET STANDARDS FOR THE LOTTERY MECHANIC
01

THE “RICH DECK” RULE

THE MATH: Look for games where the ticket supply is LOW (over 50% sold), but the remaining Jackpots are HIGH (over 80% remaining).

WHY? You are playing against a smaller pool of losers to get to the winners.
02

THE “TORQUE” RATIO

THE MATH: Buy a premium ticket ($20+) ONLY IF the Top Prize is at least 1,000x the buy-in.

EXAMPLE: If you spend $50, the Top Prize must be at least $50,000. If it’s less, the risk isn’t worth the torque.
03

THE LEMON LAW

THE MATH: If the Top 2 Prize Tiers are 0 Remaining, that game is a “Lemon.”

ACTION: Walk away. Even if the store clerk pushes it. There is no horsepower left in that engine.
